Thalang: Phuket's Quiet North, for Renters and Buyers

Thalang covers much of northern Phuket, stretching from the old town around the Heroines' Monument to Pa Khlok on the east coast and Mai Khao near the airport. It is quieter and greener than the south, with new housing estates, the Robinson Thalang shopping centre, and UWC Thailand and Thanyapura nearby. For families looking for more space, it is often one of the best-value areas on the island.

- Boat owners. Pa Khlok offers convenient access to Yacht Haven and Ao Po Grand Marina.
- Buyers looking for a pool villa under ฿20 million. Fourteen of the seventeen villas for sale are priced below that amount.
The trade-off is the drive. Patong, Kata and the southern beaches are 45 minutes or more away, while Bang Tao and Laguna are about 20 to 30 minutes away, depending on your location. If you want to walk to the beach, consider Bang Tao or Rawai instead.
